Annual Family Portrait
It is always an honour to have families who return year after year for updated portraits. This family has been coming to see me for portraits for as long as I can remember! Their son was just a wee little thing, and their daughter was just a twinkle. Look how much these kids have grown in a year! They’re turning into such awesome people, too. Notice they both have shorter hair? That’s because they’ve both donated their locks to make wigs for cancer patients. So awesome! They both have hearts of gold, I tell ya. One of the things I love about repeat clients, is that everyone is quicker to relax in front of my camera, and we get to see their unique personalities really shine through.
Coordinating Outfits
Each year they have fabulous outfits, and this year was no objection. I really like the blue and it added a great contrast to a variety of the locations here on the farm. From the rustic barn board, the bright orange metal siding, to the deep green of the foliage. Each setting offered a great contrast and made them pop off the background. The focus of the viewer is always them!
Adding in Personality
Even though this beautiful family are seasoned professionals when it comes to portraits, there is always that slight adjustment period at the beginning of the session. This is the time where we fall into a groove working together and everyone relaxes. It just happens quicker when you’re used to getting your photos done! Capturing your genuine expressions, connections and letting your family’s joy shine through is always top priority. All the while, we will work through some posed and some candid shots so you have a variety of images from which to choose your wall art.
