JOY! These images just shout joy, don’t they?! This gorgeous family came to my portrait studio in November for their first portrait session with me. When I asked how they found my services, they said they had found me on Instagram. As I do with all my portrait families, I asked what their main goal was. Their response was that they were looking for images that showed their joy. Well, that just made me super excited to work with them to create these images!

I always strive to show love, connection and joy in all of my portrait sessions. I mean, that’s why you want your family documented isn’t it!?! :D Their appointment was on a Saturday, and the weather was gorgeous. That late autumn sun. The warm golden tones. The long grass. Gah, it was so much fun. It also turned out to be the Mom’s birthday. Which of course I thought was the BEST GIFT. I would totally love getting a portrait session with my most favourite people for my birthday… just sayin’ ;)
