Ahh, I am in love with this summer engagement session! Couples sessions are one of my favourites to photograph, and I have been so lucky to have had a bunch of new couples come in front of my lens this year. The lovely Lana contacted me during the summer about scheduling some engagement photos for her and her fiancé, Evan. They are planning a destination wedding in 2019, and had wanted some engagement photos done here, prior to their big celebration. Lana was hoping for something in the late summer, early fall, and she was open to suggestions! They decided to come up to our studio and use the field of wildflowers as their backdrop.
The day was gorgeous, and the sun was shining, until about 10 minutes before their session. Of course! haha, but we had some gorgeous light anyway, and the weather was still warm and there was a slight breeze. Towards the end of their session we waited for a while for the sun to peek out from the clouds. Just as we were walking back to the barn, thinking the cloud cover was just not going to leave us, the sun came out! We captured some beautiful sunburst images at the very end, and I think that the wait was well worth it, don’t you?
Newly engaged? Getting married next year? I am booking fall and winter engagement sessions! Email me to inquire.
