I really love when everything aligns perfectly for the best possible outcome for a portrait session. The late day golden light was perfect. The gentle fall breeze was lovely. The blue sky was clear. And this family was on point! It’s never a shortage of laughs with these guys. The girls showed their genuine and hilarious personalities for the camera. I enjoy seeing clients come back, and I get to see a small glimpse of their lives and how much they’ve grown and changed since I saw them last. But mostly, I really enjoy watching families interact with their loved ones. And every family is unique! During the first few frames, I get to know them a little better and can gauge how to evoke those candid and authentic reactions.
This family is laid back, easy going, and asked for more authentic connection in their images. So we set to work and had some fun along the way. With some traditional posing and lots of candid lifestyle images that I hope they will cherish forever. The series of Mom and her daughters is one of my favourites from this fall season. Capturing those intimate moments between them, and creating art they’ll be able to pass down to future generations. These are the moments I strive to capture for all my clients. Record these fleeting characteristics of your little ones before they are not so little any more.
